Michaela Haet (pictured) started with Voyager Tennis Academy at the age of 11. By the age of 14, she achieved the number 1 ranking in Australia and at 18 years old, she won 2 WTA Professional Futures events. Michaela is now going to Rice University in the United States on a full tennis scholarship. Michaela Haet is just one of our success stories and Voyager Tennis is currently mass producing some of Sydney’s best players.
What makes Voyager Tennis Academy special?
Strong coaching team – Many of our programs are run by ex-tour professionals who provide inspiration and valuable knowledge to young players. Our coaching focuses on the development of Voyager’s 4-Cals – Technic-al, Psychologic-al, Physic-al, Tactic-al. Teaching life-skills such as respect and being positive is also an important part of our philosophy.
Strength of players – We have so much talent across our programs, providing the opportunity to play with the best and train with the best.
Education – Voyager is currently the only tennis academy in Sydney that provides a high-performance coaching program complemented with a top education at The McDonald College. Voyager also provides players with a pathway to a U.S. College Scholarship, and currently 40+ Voyagers are attending U.S. Colleges.
Awards – Voyager Tennis has been recognised for its outstanding work by Tennis Australia and Tennis NSW. Voyager has been awarded the Newcombe Medal for Coaching Excellence in Talent Development and the NSW Best Tennis School Award in partnership with The McDonald College.
What programs are on offer?
Voyager Tennis Academy specialises in all levels of coaching from beginner to professional.
Hot Shots and Selective Program – Voyager utilises Hot Shots, Tennis Australia’s official development program, to help kids learn to love tennis and develop important skills. Voyager invites its top Hot Shots players into a selective program to prepare for competitive tennis.
Performance Program – Our Peformance squads are designed for nationally ranked players pursuing a pathway to professional tennis or a US College scholarship.
The McDonald College Program – Enables our elite players to balance high-performance coaching and training requirements with a great education. Already with multiple National Champions and Year 12 graduates achieving U.S. College Scholarships we are looking forward to seeing many of nation’s best players coming through our doors.
